Bonus Variation: Gingerbread Dishcloths

Am I the only one who can hardly believe it’s November? I feel like just yesterday, I was sitting down with my boys, trying to figure out Halloween costumes, but suddenly I find myself thinking about Thanksgiving and beyond. Part of that beyond is figuring out what I’m going to weave and when for each upcoming holiday. I haven’t made final decisions yet, but Malynda Allen’s clever Gingerbread Dishcloths and Bin from the Winter 2023 Easy Weaving with Little Looms are high on my list.

I love how wintery this project feels. It’s mostly green and white with just a pop of red. It’s understated and classic. Plus, I love the variety of patterns you can get on one warp. In the Winter issue, we gave the instructions for weaving 4 different cloths, two plain weave and two using pick-up, but Malynda actually sent us six. We didn’t have room for those last two, but we also didn’t want them to go to waste, so instead, we’re offering them here as a subscriber exclusive!
